Enema

Enema is a medical procedure used to remove the stool from large intestine. Treatment is performed before same medical examinations e.g. colonoscopy or to relies constipation. Constipation can have many causes. Weakened intestinal peristalsis often occurs, for example, in patients who are lying down, and the enema helps them to defecate, reduce tension and relive pain. An enema involves pouring fluid into the intestine through the anus.

The procedure is painless and the nurse explains the procedure to the patient before it is performed.

An enema at home is more comfortable than in a medical institution.
